Story of the film

Satyendra aka Sattu, the character is played by actor Rajkummar Rao. The role of Aarti, is performed by actress Kriti Kharbanda. Both of them meet for a proposed arranged marriage, and they fall in love in the process. On the night of their wedding, an unexpected turn of the events which turns their world upside down. Arti’s sister advises that she should run away from the marriage and gain professionally. Otherwise, her in-laws will destroy her life just like how Abha’s in-laws destroyed Abha’s life. So, Aarti runs away, and Sattu got upset with this.

Five years later, both of them cross paths, and the story takes an exciting turn when Sattu, now an IAS officer, who is assigned the case of the framed PCS officer Aarti. He tries to take revenge from the Aarti by humiliating her during the case inquiry. But finally, Satyendra finds that Aarti is not guilty, and he convinces the Jury of the same. Aarti is happy that she is free and appreciated Sattu for doing this.
